Ten years after the Free Linguistics Conference (FLC) was first held in the Philippines, we are pleased to announce that the 16th International Free Linguistics Conference will once again take place in the country on October 24 and 25, 2025, with pre-conference workshops scheduled for October 23, 2025. This year’s conference will be hosted by the University of Santo Tomas, through the Department of English of the Faculty of Arts and Letters, in collaboration with the UST Graduate School and the Linguistic Society of the Philippines.

The Free Linguistics Conference is an international academic gathering that brings together scholars, educators, researchers, and students to engage in scholarly exchange across a broad range of linguistic disciplines. The event remains true to its founding principle of being “a conference for everyone” by ensuring open and inclusive participation.

In keeping with this tradition, there will be no registration fees for participants. However, due to the conference’s non-commercial and inclusive model, financial sponsorship or travel assistance will not be provided.

All presenters with accepted paper presentations for the 16th Free Linguistics Conference (FLC 2025) must re
gister on or before July 25, 2025. Please make sure to complete your registration on or before this date to officially confirm your participation in the conference.
Failure to register by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your presentation slot,which may then be reassigned to a waitlisted participant.
