Education in the time of COVID19 – Phase 2

Phase 2 (Deconstruction): May 6 – May 26, 2020

In the Introductory Phase, we looked at some broad theoretical concepts and issues, e.g. the CREDIBLE research and Positive Discourse Analysis (PDA).

In this phase of the course, we will look at examples of how we can use the CREDIBLE approach and PDA to analyse projects.

To do this, over the next few days, I will post CREDIBLE and PDA analysis of various projects carried out by my students (I have sent out links to all these videos via e-mail to course participants).

I would like you all to watch these (and complete the readings for Phase 1 if you haven’t already done so) and then join me and my students for an interactive session (not a lecture) to discuss how we carry out these analyses.

The live Zoom session will be held on Friday (May 15) at 5:00 pm (Sydney time).

I have added two new videos by Aurelie to the YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6xTTXx8tzmiUTrEeqpeeAnAntOaU_lzc to help us move into Phase 2 (Deconstruction).

I have also added examples of students’ CREDIBLE projects: https://www.academia.edu/43017409/PART_B_Examples_of_students_CREDIBLE_projects

Your assignment for this Phase will be to carry out a CREDIBLE and PDA analysis on a successful project (we will discuss how to identify one during our Zoom session).

If you have any comments or questions, please do feel free to contact me.
