The 14th International Free Linguistics Conference will be held from September 29 – October 1, 2023, at Kadir Has Üniversitesi in Istanbul, Türkiye.

This year, in support of women’s rights worldwide, we have invited an all female group of Focus Speakers:

Venue and directions:

The conference venue, Kadir has University, is right at the heart of Istanbul and very close to the historical city center. You can find about how to arrive at the university via public transport, on the university web page (https://www.khas.edu.tr/en/access-to-campus/) and the links therein.

Many hotels are located around Sultanahmet (Old Town) (https://bit.ly/3LMSPbn) or Taksim (https://bit.ly/42g7O4t) area. You can use eith

er tramway line T1 to reach Eminönü stop from Sultanahmet, or M2 Metro line to arrive at Golden Horn (Haliç) station from Taksim. From any one of these places, it takes ten minutes’ walk to the university, or you change to tram line T5, whose route has been recently extended and has now a stop just in front of Kadir Has University. You can als

Instructions to Poster Presenters:

Poster boards will be 1 x 1.5 m in size. You can prepare your posters in portrait orientation and up to A0 (~85 x 120 cm) size.

Instructions to Oral Presenters:

All rooms will be equipped with laptops. Please make sure to bring your PowerPoint presentation on a USB Flash memory. If you wish, you can also bring your own laptop. Each oral presentation will be allocated 30 minutes, that is, 20 min for presentation and 10 min for Q&A. Please start and finish your presentation in the allotted time. This is important since we will have several parallel sessions and the audience will be moving back and forth during the sessions.
